Esta ruta discurre por pista, con un tramo por carretera y conduce a la ermita de Nuestra Señora del Campo, cuyo culto tiene fuerte arraigo popular en Génave. El paisaje dominante, bastante llano, está compuesto por cultivos de cereal y pequeños olivares. Abundan las pequeñas aves esteparias, como alondras, totovías y cogujadas, así como liebres y perdices.
Es interesante observar el contraste entre las formaciones geológicas que se divisan al final del recorrido y las que hemos ido dejando a la espalda, de muy distintos orígenes y edades. Las primeras corresponden a las estribaciones más orientales de Sierra Morena, de roca granítica, escasa altitud y perfil redondeado, mientras que las segundas son las abruptas formaciones calizas de las cordilleras subbéticas. La ruta finaliza junto al río Herreros, desde donde podemos observar la típica vegetación del bosque mediterráneo, dominada por encinas y jaras.
